Find a Therapist
Finding a therapist, psychiatrist, treatment center, or support group can be complicated. Psychology Today offers a convenient tool to help you find support.
What to Look For in a Mental Health Professional
It’s important to find a therapist, or other mental health professional, that earns your trust, communicates with you, and challenges you respectfully. Some people would also prefer to see a therapist who shares their gender, sexual orientation, cultural orientation, or race.
Therapy conducted over the phone or online can also be highly effective options, especially if in-person visits aren’t accessible for you or someone you know.
